“When I received the news that I have been selected as a finalist for the Women in Leadership Award I was truly humbled and blown away. I made headlines nationally and internally when I was appointed as the first female Muslim Chaplaincy Team Lead for a Trust in NHS England and my aim is to always inspire other females to excel and achieve their personal best.
As a leader I understand that sometimes you have to raise your head up for others to see you succeed for them to tread on the path you have made. My legacy is to allow other women to realise their potential and by winning this award it will be the first of many steps towards this goal”.
